造成宫颈内口松弛症的原因可分为两类：先天性和后天性。先天性宫颈内口松弛症是由于母亲怀孕时服用了某种药物或其它原因造成女性子宫发育不全;后天性宫颈内口松弛症则是由于产伤、刮宫次数过多或频繁的会阴检查。
